Kym Hughes Elected to the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus

Kym Hughes, Executive Director of Sandy Springs Hospitality & Tourism, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (GACVB). In recognition of her organization’s successful programs, this distinguished honor was announced by GACVB, who serves as a unified voice of Georgia’s destination organizations.
The Association is comprised of convention & visitors bureaus, government officials, media and members of the general public. They partner with Chambers of Commerce, the hospitality industry, media, government officials and others to provide continuing education for its members in order to achieve economic development through tourism.
In addition to this honor, Kym Hughes was also recently nominated to serve on the Board of the Southeast Tourism Society, which promotes leisure travel in 12 Southeastern states to strengthen the region as a travel destination.
Sandy Springs Hospitality & Tourism promotes Sandy Springs through a variety of innovative marketing campaigns and advertising.
