Special Note to New Business Owners

We welcome you to Sandy Springs and thank you for calling our City your business' home.

We ask that all new business owners visit us in person to complete their applications. When you meet our Revenue staff face to face, they will welcome you and provide personal service and tips on completing your paperwork. We look forward to seeing you at City Hall.

We are ready to assist you through the process of obtaining your new business occupational tax application or renewing your existing license. If you have any questions about the application process or can't find something on this site, please contact the Revenue Department at 770-730-5600.

The Revenue Department is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is at our City Hall location:

To locate us, please enter the door on the west side of the building, in the Municipal Court/Council Chambers entrance. Our desk will be to the right; the receptionist can help direct you.

In order to conduct business in the City of Sandy Springs, you must have a valid Business Occupational Tax Certificate. The total minimum fee per applicant will be $138. This includes a $75 nonrefundable application/administrative fee due at the time the tax certificate application is submitted. The Occupational Tax Certificate must be renewed every year by March 31 of the following year. Forms of payment accepted by mail are money order and check only. Walk-in applications may pay by cash, check, money order, and credit card.
